Welcome back to those who are returning to After School Club and Welcome to those who are participating in After School Club for the first time! We are excited for all that we have planned! This first week of ASC has been full of fun activities including dodgeball and get to know you games. Can't wait for another amazing Fall session.
This is the last week of After School Club. Starting Monday May 14th there will no longer be After School Club after school. We will be doing Fun Friday activities this entire week for club time. Friday we will have water activities for the students to play. If you do not wish your child to get wet please advise them to play one of the non water activities we will have available for students. Thanks for the great year!
Parent Night will be tomorrow Thursday April 26th from 5:30-6:30pm. Utah State University's athletics will be coming to teach students about a sport. Pizza will be served at the end. Please come and have fun with your whole family!
Permission slips have been sent out for the 3-5 graders to be able to attend this years annual After School Club cheer and soccer tournament. Please sign your child's permission slip so they can participate in this great opportunity to represent their school. All parents are invited to come and watch their student play or cheer!
This week we have had loads of volunteers helping our students with reading and math! We have also had a variety of exciting Fun Friday activities. We have also have Food Sense coming and teaching our students about healthy living habits every Wednesday this month.
This week we had fun in clubs and on our field trip to the zoo, where students got to go to a presentation about animals. The student's favorite animal was a common house cat that followed us around the zoo.
Last Friday we had USU country swing dancing club come and teach our 3rd-5th graders a line dance. This Friday they will be coming back to teach our K-2nd graders a different line dance!
Our field trip to Willow Park Zoo has been rescheduled for Thursday March 29th.
This week we began our March clubs. All of our leaders have planned exciting clubs for the students this month; ranging from a Harry Potter club, to a Building club, to one about pirates and others about creative writing and reading!
We had a field trip to the Library this week! Our K-2 made robot puppets. Our 3-5 learned about Kinetic and potential energy and made roller coasters.
Today in our Olympic Education club students learned about the Olympic torch run and made their our paper torches!
Parent Night is this week on Thursday the 22nd from 5:30-6:30pm! Students will make passports and will do Olympic themed activities. Refreshments will be served.
Students this week have been busy and excitedly finishing sewing up stuffed bears, programming games and learning about the Olympic games! We are excited about our Parent Night on the 22nd! Our theme is the Olympics and we will have a bunch of great games and crafts for the whole activity along with a sweet treat. We also have a field trip to the library coming up on the 27th for K-2 and the 28th for 3-5. Students will be participating in fun science experiments! Permission slips have been handed out and must be turned in for the students to be able to participate. Please let us know if you need an extra permission slip.

We are starting off this session right with a field trip to Cache Valley Athletics and a lot of great clubs. We have a guest this month teaching one of our clubs how to sew stuffed bears for children in the hospital. Super Smash club is learning about how to program games and our three other clubs are focusing on getting in the Olympic spirit by learning about winter Olympic sports.
